multi-instrumentalist, Matt Kent is known for his sophisticated yet hooky sound that blends crossover R&B, Classical and Pop with a blend of organic instruments and minimalistic yet modern production techniques.
Matt Kent has quickly become a Tik Tok sensation with his unique series titled “Turning Classical music into a Pop song” converting Classical music into original pop songs on the social media giant in 2021.
He’s racked up over 100 million total video views and has gained over 290 thousand followers since.
Inspired by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder and by more modern artists such as Jazmine Sullivan, Finneas and Michael Buble.
Since he began songwriting in 2015, he’s had opportunities to perform in showcases at legendary venues, festivals and arenas across NYC and London such as, the Bitter end, Mercury Lounge, Madison Square Garden, CarFest South, Pub in the park, Pianos and many more. Matt was invited to the “Coffee Music Project NYC” in 2019 where he became a finalist and caught the attention of established music producer Dante Lattanzi who signed Kent to his management company and the two have been working together ever since. In late 2021, the UK's iconic radio host Chris Evans heard Matt performing at a nearby pub in London and quickly fell in love with his sound and invited Matt to perform at CarFest South opening up for James Bay in front of 40,000 people and went on to do a UK tour.
